     Meet the Labradoodle Rescue Team
...

Catherine Mathieson - Chairperson

Catherine has recently upped sticks and moved to soggy Mid Wales, a decision she may live to regret when she realises she can't speak the lingo. She has 3 fabulous doods, Roger, Dylan and new puppy Bob. She also has 2 fabulous kids, Ginni & Charlie, and a bloke!

Catherine works from home as an Interior Architect, after graduating rather late in life, in 2003, from the University of Wolverhampton. She spends a lot of time trying to tame the family's newly acquired very large, unruly garden, and less time than she would like riding a motorbike, a passion that has been with her since she was 16. Catherine is keen to oversee the inception and growth of the labradoodle rescue, and help it to flourish into a credible, worthy, and most importantly, successful organisation. She also helps out with home checking and transportation.

Kathy Payne - Secretary

Kathy originally hails from the North East , but left to study at the University of East Anglia many years ago. There, she was captured by the locals and has lived there ever since; one day, she hopes to be accepted as a native. Sharing her home in Norwich are her long-suffering husband, cream F1b Labradoodle called Django and two ageing cats, who definitely rule the roost.

After working happily in Financial Services for many years, mainly in Change and IT Management, Kathy decided to pursue her interest in health and wellbeing. She is completing a course in homeopathy, with a view to setting up her own practice. In her relaxation time, she enjoys dog walking on Norfolk’s fabulous beaches, cooking, gardening, listening to music and travel. As a supporter of Labradoodle Rescue UK, Kathy became aware that the number of Labradoodles requiring rescue and rehoming is increasing alarmingly and wanted to help. Before taking on the role of Secretary, she volunteered as a homechecker.

Alison Frost - Treasurer

Alison (or Frosty as better known to most) lives in the north of England with her 2 doodles Hector and Archie... Oh and partner Lee (bottom of pecking order). Graduated from University of Northampton in 1995 with a Business and Law degree and hence may have a brain cell to do the treasurer stuff....time will tell!

Frosty is passionate about all animals, especially Labradoodles, and has just left 12 years of IT sales behind to pursue her own business in petcare. Canine health and nutrition is an absolute obsession with this northern lass, but she should really put it into practice on herself!!. Frosty works closely with all the team and helps in ways of homechecking and transporting in her dog kitted out works Van!

Katherine Wallace - Committee Member and Rescue Co-ordinator

Katherine lives in the far west of Cornwall with her husband, miniature doodle Rufus and an enormous parrot. She escaped to Cornwall where she owns an independent bookshop and writes book reviews for a variety of publications after a career in the City which encompassed most aspects of corporate public relations. Additionally, she has served as a board member for a couple of large charities, including securing lottery funding. Interests include reading, looking at art, gardening and walking.

Her first love has always been animals and Katherine is happy to be involved with Rescue as a committee member. She will do whatever is necessary to help it develop and to support those doodles in need of a new home.

Annette Connolly-Reid - Committee Member and Fundraiser

Annette lives in London with her other, not better, half, 3 kids, 5 dogs, 3 of which are Labradoodles and not forgetting 4 cats. Originally trained to be a nurse, now she and her husband run their own import/export company, lucky her as she is able to work from home and as such is able to find time to hopefully help raise lots of funds for the Labradoodle Rescue.

Kay Crew - Committee Member and Webmaster

Kay lives in Northamptonshire with her other half, doodles, and Standard poodle Daisy. She has had a keen interest in graphics and web design for the past 5 years, which until recently was more of a hobby than anything else, but she has now started a professional web design course with a view to increasing her skills. Kay designed and maintains the rescue website and also helps out with fostering Labradoodles and various other rescue issues.

Elaine - Committee Member and Training Advisor
